The multi-asset investment platform, eToro, announced on Monday that Michael Ptasznik has been appointed to its Board of Directors and would be joining at the end of the merger with Fintech Acquisition Tech V.
Based on the firm’s press release, Michael Ptasznik will also become one of the members of the Risk and Audit Committee of the Board.
This new executive has served as the Executive VP and CFO at Nasdaq, where he led corporate strategy, investor relations, M&A, real estate, corporate ESG, risk management, and finance. Before he joined Nasdaq, he has worked for some other firms like Procter & Gamble Canada Inc. and TMX Group Limited.
Speaking on his educational qualifications, Ptasznik graduated as a Chartered professional accountant from Wilfrid Laurier University, where he bagged BBA honors. He also attended McMasters University to get his Chartered Director designation.
The CEO and the Co-founder of eToro, Yoni Assia, pointed out the new member of the Board of directors of the firm: “We are very excited to have Michael as a member here in eToro. On the other hand, Michael Ptasznik spoke about his appointment. He said: “I am very happy to join the Board of Directors of eToro. The company, in the press release, noted that eToro’s merger with Tech V. would happen in Q4 2021. It was reported earlier that eToro announced a new CEO in the United States in the person of Lule Demmissie, who was the previous Executive Director of Morgan Stanley.
